Jesus has shown us by His example how to forgive our family, our closest friends, and our enemies. Our Lord's own family misunderstood Him; His friends deserted Him; His own people persecuted Him; yet He willingly died for their sins and ours on a cross. And He forgave us all. Do not let the enemy get a foothold in your life through bitterness or resentment. Forgive anyone whom you need to forgive today, just as your Father in heaven has forgiven you. Ask God to help you pinpoint any bitterness you may have. Let go of it; give it to the One who judges all men righteously. The enemy will flee as you submit these feelings to God.
