The enemy strives constantly to maintain the gap between you and God which was created by sin. He delights in our attempts, and failures, to bridge this gap in our own strength, declaring that God has abandoned us. Remember that your sins have been covered! Atonement has been made through the willing sacrifice of Jesus Christ, even while you were His enemy and a sinner. The debt is paid in full! No longer is atonement needed for the payment of your sins. It is done! Who will bring any charge against you? Receive God's gracious gift; rejoice in it! Walk in newness of life, and watch the enemy flee!
